Andreas Sture / White
"We who are part of supplying the earth with new products must be careful to identify the real needs of the market and ask us why? Does the world need another chair? If the answer is yes, that chair must be made of good material that does not contribute to global warming and also provide good conditions for a long and circular life."
The words are Andreas Stures and we are immensely proud to have collaborated with a designer who is as passionate about sustainability as Andreas is. Andreas is an Industrial Designer at BFA and Designer MFA, has studied at HDK in Gothenburg and works as a designer at White Architects. For Stolab he has designed Anima, a soft, beautiful chair created for a room that breathes openness and is welcoming.
Anima is now found, among other things, in the new Equmenia church, which is linked to Garveriet outside Gothenburg where you can say that it has a completely new task. It needs to be comfortable to sit in for a long time and at the same time have a lightness that does not take over the room. A church room with chairs instead of benches not only provides increased comfort but also great flexibility, which is central to the room being able to function as a meeting room for a variety of conferences and meetings.
