Tomorrows classics
“Using the natural beauty of wooden surfaces as our starting point, we aim to help our customers and end-users to furnish environments by emboldening them to think beyond white, black and grey.” That’s the compelling explanation from Martin Johansson, CEO and owner of Stolab, for one of the reasons behind Stolab’s venture into a new colour landscape. The journey begins with five new colours for Lilla Åland, Pinnockio and Palle stool.
Stolab has evolved into a well-known brand for Swedish design and manufacturing on the international stage. Carefully executed craftsmanship and meticulous attention to detail at every level have paved the way for furnishings that last for generations. Many of today’s classics have first seen the light of day at Stolab, and there will no doubt be new ones, too, in the years to come.
Swedish oak and birch are close to our heart here at Stolab, and the natural beauty of wood will always remain the cornerstone of our range. Now, however, we are adding a new palette of colours, all of which share not only their hues with natural resources and phenomena, but also their names – for example, lingonberry, mist and thunder.
The new colours – burnt clay, mauve, lingonberry, mist and thunder – have been developed in collaboration with colour expert Sara Garanty. Each has a clear connection to nature, and all have been carefully chosen to harmonise with the different natural shades of birch and oak. The new colours are available on Lilla Åland chair, Windsor chair and children’s chair, Pinnockio chair and Palle stool. Products in these colours will be available for sale from April 14.
